American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) – Founded in 1984 this is the largest group of dental professionals who practice cosmetic dentistry. With a focus on not only the art but also the science, they offer education and promote high standards. Dr. Golab is proud that in addition to being a member, he is also working to earn an accreditation from them. Less than 350 dentists have earned this accreditation. The process requires a dentist to pass a written test, then they must attend classes, next they have to summit clinical cases for review, the final step is passing an oral examination.
American Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) – The AGD was founded 60 years ago with the intent to promote continuing education for dentists and a commitment to patient care. Maintaining a membership requires a dentist to take 75 hours of continuing education every three years. For dentist like Dr. Golab who is seeking a fellowship they must complete 500 hours of continuing education in addition to passing an exam.
Academy of Comprehensive Esthetics (A.C.E.) –A dental community of dedicated professionals motivated to provide their patients with excellent care via exchange of information, mentoring, and education. Dr. Golab is working to complete his fellowship with A.C.E., this requires 300 hours of continuing education, passing a written exam, submitting clinical cases (to prove work quality) and give an oral presentation.
About the practice
Dr. Golab worked to create a practice where his patients can relax, reducing dental anxiety. When a patient walks in to the office, they are greeted with relaxing music and a friendly staff. The reception area is decorated with the patient in mind, from the soothing waterfall to the comfort of the chairs. Patients will experience this throughout their appointment with the availability of pillows, hot towels, CD players, snacks, and drinks.
Dr. Golab believes in seeing one patient at a time and giving them his full attention. He wants to make sure that all questions have been answered and concerns have been addressed.
